Normal club meetings are held at 7:30pm on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
Beginning in March 2017 Club meetings are at the McLean Governmental Center. The doors of the Community Room will open at 7:00 pm for socializing prior to the meeting.

In Search of a Compelling Image
Are your photos starting to look like everyone else's? Here's an opportunity to begin re-thinking how you approach taking more compelling images that catch the viewer's eye. We'll look at examples that demonstrate how you can improve your images and have them be compelling to a viewer.
Dennis has been doing nature photography for over 50 years. He is a trained biologist and botanist and started his photographic journey in the great state of West Virginia while an undergraduate at Marietta College in Ohio. His photographic interests are macro, landscape and wildlife photography with an occasional dabbling in non-nature photography of subjects related to architecture, history and general scenic subjects.
Dennis has also been a primary photographer for a children’s book series, "Exploring Wildlife Series" (http://www.a-childs-book.com) and has a published image in the digital magazine, Photography Week as well as being a contributor to a smartphone application on national wildlife refuges.
Dennis is a regular Getty Image Contributor where his images are used around the world by various news agencies and corporations.
Dennis has also done presentations and seminars at camera clubs in Virginia and West Virginia. He is currently a member of the Northern Virginia Photographic Society.
In 2016, Dennis was the winner in the Wildlife category with his image, "Skimmers at Work" in The Nature Conservancy's Internationally known annual photo contest. And in 2017 Dennis was a co-winner in the Bird Category at Nature Visions Photo Expo.
