TIM COOPER PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS
Join Tim in some of the world's most beautiful outdoor locations for an active vacation filled with field shooting, photographic exploration, and critique. Tim's Location workshops are a unique mix of learning, sharing, heightened awareness, personal reflection, relaxation, and a gathering of like-minded people. Each workshop has a slightly different focus but all involve the core components of being in the right place at the right time to create meaningful photographs, and a week packed full of learning the art of photography.

MEADOWLARK NATURE CENTER
Linda Toki is taking over classes from Bill Folsom. The classes will take you from novice to advanced photography in a short period of time.
The Meadowlark Botanical Gardens make a great stage for practicing your skills and are a short drive out Leesburg Pike (Route 7) to Beulah Road (very close to Wolf Trap's facilities). Classes are held on Saturday and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon and frequently include another hour in the gardens once the weather turns nice. The cost of each class is $50.00 (cash or check).
The classes cover all the basics of photography during the beginning sessions. You will by very familiar with your equipment and how to use your camera's features after just a couple of classes. Some of the advanced classes will also be helpful to more advanced members. Some classes have plenty of space while others are nearly full, so please let Linda know as soon as possible if you plan to attend (no fee if your can't make a class).
MCLEAN HIGH SCHOOL AND THE TARTAN
The Tartan is a McLean HS student-run media organization that brings literature and the arts to the McLean community. The "arts" include photography, graphic arts, drawings, and copies of paintings. Their budget is almost entirely reliant on generous donations and contributions so that they have the ability to put out a wonderful literary magazine by the end of the school year. The Tartan offers three patronage levels as well as a subscription, and they will send you your own copy when the magazine comes out.
